Light and dark mode

Readers switch between light and dark themselves. Their choice is stored in their browser and survives a reload.

Default appearance decides what a first-time visitor sees before they choose: Light, Dark or System. It defaults to Light. A reader’s own choice always wins.

Accent color

Mirror’s one chromatic color is your accent, set under Settings → Design & branding → Brand → Accent color. The Live Demo uses a burnt amber.

Fonts

Mirror ships with Newsreader for reading and Archivo for the interface and metadata. Both are self-hosted, so nothing is fetched from Google.

If you pick fonts under Settings → Design & branding → Typography, Mirror uses them. Leave them alone and you get Newsreader and Archivo.
